A Berklee College of Music student has been convicted by a federal jury in Boston on charges of stalking and threatening an individual who put up fliers in support of democracy in China around the Berklee campus area.
Xiaolei Wu, a 26-year-old citizen of the People's Republic of China, was convicted Thursday, January 25 in U.S. District Court in Boston after a four-day jury trial of one count of cyberstalking and one count of interstate transmissions of threatening communication, according to federal court records. Wu is scheduled to be sentenced on April 24, 2024, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts.
