WH: Obama ‘doesn’t believe that Director Comey is intentionally trying to influence’ election

(CNSNews.com) – President Obama believes that FBI Director James Comey "is a man of integrity, he's a man of principle, he's a man who is well-regarded by senior officials in both parties," White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters on Monday.

"He's somebody who's served in a senior position in the Bush administration and he's somebody who got strong bipartisan support when his nomination to be the Director of the FBI was considered by the United States Senate. So all those things are true. They speak to his good character, and the president's assessment of his integrity and his character has not changed.

(CNSNews.com) – The U.S. election campaign "has been difficult for our country's perception abroad," Secretary of State John Kerry told an audience in London on Monday. "There are moments when it is downright embarrassing."

Answering questions at a youth outreach event hosted by London Mayor Sadiq Khan, Kerry was asked – by an American – how the 2016 election campaign has impacted U.S. relationships abroad, or his job representing the U.S. abroad.
