WATERTOWN, MASS. As their former chief recounted their firefight with the terrorists who struck the Boston Marathon in 2013, three Watertown police officers were granted the Congressional Medal of Bravery on Friday for their actions more than two years ago.
Congressman Joe Kennedy III is setting a partisan edge as August dawns. In a fundraising email circulated on Sunday, Kennedy starts off, "There's no turning back. Love it or hate it, the political season has arrived and the 2016 campaign is well underway. Plenty of wild ideas are already surfacing from some of the leading presidential candidates – like 'phasing out' Medicare, repealing the Affordable Care Act, and rounding up millions of immigrant families for deportation. These extreme positions might grab headlines, but they'll only deepen the divisions in our country."
