Siding with South Dakota, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled Thursday that states should be able to require online retailers to collect and remit state sales taxes, a decision with wide-ranging implications for state finances across the country and one that could open the door to additional tax revenue for Massachusetts.

Maine Governor Sending National Guard Helicopter To Mexico Border

Maine Governor Paul LePage is bucking the trend in New England by sending a National Guard helicopter and two pilots to help defend the American border with Mexico.

LePage, a Republican and a supporter of President Donald Trump, is the only one of the four Republican governors in New England to lend support to border enforcement in the wake of the separation of children from parents trying to get into the United States illegally, according to the Bangor Daily News.
