Maine U.S. Senator Susan Collins wants to codify Roe v. Wade, the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion everywhere in the country until the court overturned it in June 2022.
But Collins, a moderate Republican, also signaled that she doesn't support third-trimester abortions, and said that what she called "reasonable restrictions" are appropriate at the state level.
