Of the approximately 20 jobs Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker has had, sportswriting may have been his favorite, he told a graduating class on Cape Cod this week.
Baker as a young man worked for several years for the Dedham Daily Transcript, a now-defunct newspaper in a town next to his hometown of Needham — but he "might not have been talented enough," according to a paraphrase of his speech from the Cape Cod Times.
Gubernatorial candidates Jay Gonzalez and Bob Massie went hard at Governor Charlie Baker in an early primary debate between the two remaining Democrats in the race, contrasting their leadership experience while agreeing almost uniformly on the issues.
