Today is the 52nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the worst decision the U.S. Supreme Court has ever issued.
Considering “no rights which the white man is bound to respect” (Dred Scott v. Sandford, 1857) and “separate but equal” (Plessy v. Ferguson, 1896), that’s saying something. But Roe v. Wade deserves the title. It was dreadful law, and worse policy.
Millions of babies have died because of it. Millions of women have suffered emotional and spiritual damage because of it.
