New polling shows that Boston city councilor Michelle Wu is ahead in the Boston mayoral preliminary election.
A poll released by Emerson College this week in the run up to the Tuesday, September 14 election showed Wu in the lead with 24 percent support followed by fellow city councilor Annissa Essaibi George (18 percent support), then acting mayor Kim Janey (16 percent support), followed by city councilor Andrea Campbell (14 percent), and former Boston economic development chief John Barros (2 percent). It also showed that 25 percent of voters are undecided in the race. The poll's margin of error was 3.9 percent.
