(CNSNews.com) — President Barack Obama said at the White House Summit on Global Development yesterday that "we are living in the most peaceful" era in human history and that "the world has never been less violent."
According to the White House schedule, the president used the summit to "bring together development leaders, public and private sector financing partners, civil society, diplomats, and entrepreneurs to mark our global progress and catalyze further development efforts."
(CNSNews.com) – The Pew Research Center released a survey on Wednesday showing that a majority of Americans, 59 percent, agree that "too many people are easily offended these days over the language that others use."
Only 39 percent of those surveyed thought that "people need to be more careful about the language they use to avoid offending people with different backgrounds."
