Chicopee Man Gets 42 Years For Murder and Kidnapping

Chicopee resident Brandon Batiste, 36, received a 42-year prison sentence from U.S. District Judge Omar A. Williams in Hartford, Connecticut this week for the kidnapping and murder of a Massachusetts man in 2020, according to a press release from the office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut. 

On Christmas Eve in 2020, Batiste and Calvin Roberson, also known as "Cutty," kidnapped Francisco Roman Jr., 28, at gunpoint from his home in Chicopee, according to prosecutors.
