The Department of Conservation and Recreation on June 26 acquired vast parcels of "ecologically significant" land in Lakeville and Freetown that will serve as wildlife habitat and places for the public to visit and explore. The Baker administration announced the acquisition of 690 acres of land on Tuesday.
