Six lawmakers have their heads down in energy legislation negotiations — which Gov. Maura Healey again urged them again on Tuesday to figure out — and within their House lead's $30,000 in July donations were loads of energy-related affiliates.
Telecommunications, Energy and Utilities co-Chair Rep. Mark Cusack received donations from Eastern Propane & Oil Regional Manager James Blake, One Source Power Owner Joseph Callanam, several Eversource affiliates including a VP, attorney and utility executive, Orion Utility Contractors Vice President Shawn Duhamel, and Reworld Sustainable Solutions LLC VP Thomas Hickey.
Cusack's donors also included Braintree Mayor Joseph Sullivan and Total Wine and More Owner Robert Trone. Cusack's co-chair Sen. Michael Barrett's July receipts include just one Fidelity savings transfer of $20,000.
Barrett has almost $160,000 cash on hand, while Cusack has $85,000. Barrett and Cusack are both unopposed in this year's elections.
