A Republican running for U.S. Senate in Massachusetts has backed several progressive Democrats for elected office in recent years.
Quincy City Council president Ian Cain has been a registered Republican since February 29, 2024, a Quincy City Clerk employee told NewBostonPost by telephone on Friday, August 30. Before that, he was unenrolled until 2019 — and a registered Democrat before that. Cain has been on the Quincy City Council since January 2016.
