U.S. immigration authorities have arrested an illegal immigrant accused of raping a teen-age girl at a migrant shelter in Rockland earlier this year, almost seven weeks after a Massachusetts judge refused to honor a detainer request.
Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston, a division of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, arrested 26-year-old Haitian national Cory Bernard Alvarez on Tuesday, August 13, near his home in Brockton, according to a press release.
