Elizabeth Warren's much-trumpeted DNA test purporting to show American Indian ancestry shows that she may have some — but possibly less than the average European-American has.

According to a study reported by The New York Times in December 2014, European-Americans have an average of 0.18 percent American Indian DNA.

A Republican and Democrat running for an open state representative seat in Vermont debated issues at a community forum for about 40 minutes and then ended by singing a song together.

Zac Mayo, a Republican, played guitar while Lucy Rogers, a Democrat, played cello while both sang a mournful dirge called "Society" by Pearl Jam lead singer Eddie Vedder.
