A Republican and Democrat running for an open state representative seat in Vermont debated issues at a community forum for about 40 minutes and then ended by singing a song together. Zac Mayo, a Republican, played guitar while Lucy Rogers, a Democrat, played cello while both sang a mournful dirge called "Society" by Pearl Jam lead singer Eddie Vedder.
