Connecticut Saw Record Voter Turnout — With Help From Universally Mailed Ballots

The state of Connecticut had its highest voter turnout in the history of presidential elections despite the coronavirus pandemic.

Nearly 80 percent of registered voters in the state cast a ballot in the November 3 election, as the Associated Press reports. In all, around 1.86 million people voted in the state. It was the first time in the state's history that election officials mailed every registered voter in the state a ballot with a postage-paid return envelope, whether the person requested one or not.
