Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker still has no interest in implementing a mask mandate.
The media asked Baker, a Republican, about the matter on Monday, August 16, and he said his opinion hasn't changed. He said he feels that Massachusetts is in a decent spot and that cities and towns can make that decision for themselves.
So-called single-use plastics will largely be a thing of the past in Falmouth on Cape Cod starting September 1, 2021.
The ban was approved at a September 2020 Town Meeting in Falmouth, but the town gave itself time for it to go into effect. Soon, non-carbonated, unflavored drinking water sold in single-use plastic bottles that are less than one gallon cannot be sold in the town, as The Cape Cod Times reports.
