So-called single-use plastics will largely be a thing of the past in Falmouth on Cape Cod starting September 1, 2021. The ban was approved at a September 2020 Town Meeting in Falmouth, but the town gave itself time for it to go into effect. Soon, non-carbonated, unflavored drinking water sold in single-use plastic bottles that are less than one gallon cannot be sold in the town, as The Cape Cod Times reports.
