If Massachusetts governor Charlie Baker were to run for re-election and his opponent on the other side of the aisle were current attorney general Maura Healey, Baker would have the advantage. A new poll from UMass Amherst shows that Baker holds a 33-27 edge over Healey in a hypothetical matchup; about 30 percent are undecided. The margin of error in the poll is 4.3 percent.
Pollsters called Healey "the only Democrat surveyed who poses a competitive threat to the Republican incumbent."
