The Boston Red Sox are going to Williamsport next year — and not to play in the Little League World Series.
The Red Sox are scheduled to play the Baltimore Orioles in the MLB Little League Classic on Sunday, August 21, 2022 (7 p.m. start time). It will be a nationally televised game on ESPN, according to MLB.com. The game will coincide with the Little League World Series, but will take place at Muncy Bank Ballpark. It is typically home of the Williamsport Crosscutters, a summer collegiate baseball team that used to be a Short Season A ball affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.

Jamie Zahlway Belsito, a Topsfield resident and founder of the Maternal Mental Health Leadership Alliance, tweeted that she's exploring a run in the district.
