BOSTON — A 2014 change in the state's campaign finance law has delivered a cash windfall for top elected officials in Massachusetts, allowing them to rake in big money donations and quickly rebuild their election coffers.
An Associated Press review of campaign finance records found the change — which doubled the maximum annual allowable donation from $500 to $1,000 — has helped flood candidates campaign accounts with money.

STATE HOUSE — With just more than a week until New Hampshire residents go to the polls for the first-in-the-nation presidential primary, a new poll from the University of Massachusetts and 7News shows that Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders hold big leads over their opponents.

Trump, the New York businessman and reality TV star who has run a campaign unlike any other in recent history, has the support of 38 percent of likely Republican primary voters surveyed over the weekend by UMass-Lowell and 7News.
