Supporters of the failed federal Equal Rights Amendment are calling on Congress to remove the deadline it set for the states to approve it.
U.S. Representative Ayanna Pressley (D-Hyde Park) held a press conference with other supporters designed to try to resuscitate the proposed amendment on Wednesday, December 13, the 100th anniversary of the initial introduction of a version of the amendment in the U.S. House of Representatives, her office said.
