State Representative Peter Durant will soon be state Senator Peter Durant, now that he has won a special election in central Massachusetts.

Durant (R-Worcester) will become the fourth Republican in the Massachusetts Senate, against 36 Democrats, for a ratio of one-to-nine.

Don’t Put High-Voltage Cables From Ocean Wind Turbines Underneath Public Beaches and Neighborhood Roads, Cape Cod Columnist Says

Planned high-voltage cables bringing electricity from future wind turbines in the Atlantic Ocean shouldn't be put under public beaches and neighborhood streets on the south side of Cape Cod, a newspaper columnist says.

The columnist says he is worried about electromagnetic radiation and leaks.
