George Mitchell, a former Democratic U.S. senator from Maine and former majority leader of the U.S. Senate, criticized Maine Governor Paul LePage, a Republican, for his recent attacks on U.S. Senators Susan Collins and Angus King for voting against repealing Obamacare. Collins, a left-of-center Republican, and King, a liberal independent who leans toward the Democrats, are standing by their opposition to attempts to repeal Obamacare, saying poor people would get hurt.
