Westfield State To Add 400 Cameras To Combat ‘Hate Crimes’

Westfield State University's trustees unanimously approved installing more than 400 security cameras, at an undisclosed cost, in response to reports of hate crimes on campus. The school in western Massachusetts has also established a Bias Incident Response Team.

Boston City Council Bans Single-Use Plastic Bags; Mayor Now Has Decision

The Boston City Council voted unanimously on Wednesday to ban single-use plastic bags used at supermarkets and pharmacies. Boston Mayor Marty Walsh says he hasn't decided whether to sign the ordinance.
