When Great Barrington police received a call earlier this month that a middle school teacher had handed students a book depicting animated sex acts, a plainclothes officer visited the school. The officer could not locate the book.
Now, the department is apologizing for sending anyone at all.
Elizabeth Warren is using her platform to defend access to abortion pills, criticizing "right-wing extremists" for trying to ban mifepristone, an abortion pill.
"Understand this: overturning Roe v. Wade was never simply about leaving abortion policy to the states," Warren said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, December 20. "Right-wing extremists are still attacking abortion rights from every angle in every place they can. That includes going after access to mifepristone across the country."
