Wellesley High School administrators canceled a spirit theme day celebrating the United States for being too political.

Principal Jamie Chisum explained the decision to parents in a letter, according to Boston 25 News.

Governor Maura Healey took to X (formerly Twitter) today to celebrate 20 years of same-sex marriage in Massachusetts.

"20 years ago today, Massachusetts became the first to say love is love and establish marriage equality," said Healey, a Democrat.
