Was Amelia Earhart Actually Taken Prisoner By the Japanese?

The famous aviator has long been believed to have crashed into the Pacific Ocean and died while on a planned around-the-world trip in 1937. But a History Channel special to be aired Sunday, July 9 suggests she was captured by the Japanese and perhaps died in custody.
