Wakefield Voters Say Keep Warrior Logo

A majority of voters in the town of Wakefield northwest of Boston want to keep Warrior as the logo of the town's high school.

Wakefield voters chose to keep the logo by a margin of about 55 to 45 percent, with some ballots still left to count, according to Patch.com.

Left-of-center candidates won two open seats on the Milton School Committee in a hotly contested race Tuesday.

Elizabeth Carroll and Beverly Ross Denny, who ran as a tandem, each took about 28 percent of the vote, beating out Susannah Hegarty and Kristin Kociol.
