VIDEO: Dramatic Moment As Family, In Car, Flees CA Wildfire

A video posted on Brynn Parrott Chatfield's Facebook page captures her family's astonishing drive through flames to safety as a wildfire, called the Camp Fire, ravages her town of Paradise, CA.

CNN reports that at least 5 people have died and at least 1000 structures have been destroyed in the blaze. The network also reports that at one point the fire spread at the rate of "one football field every 3 seconds."

In the immediate wake of US Attorney General Jeff Sessions' resignation Wednesday (Nov.7) and President Donald Trump's appointing of Matthew G. Whitaker as acting attorney general, progressives at MoveOn, fearing Whitaker's appointment might undermine a special counsel's investigation of the president, called for national protests that were organized within hours.

In New England, protests were held Thursday evening — about 24 hours after Sessions' resignation — in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Other protests were held throughout the United States.
