U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) plans to introduce a bill in Congress that would raise the federal minimum wage to $17 an hour from $7.25.
With U.S. Representative Robert Scott (D-Virginia), he plans to introduce the Raise the Wage Act of 2023. It would gradually raise the federal minimum wage to $17 an hour by 2028.
