U.S. Senator Peter Welch (D-Vermont) said he isn't ready to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris as Joe Biden's successor.
Welch wants Democrats to come together to select the best possible candidate at their convention in Chicago in early August rather than automatically pass the torch to Harris.
New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu has signed a bill into law that bans males, including those who identify as transgender, from competing in girls' interscholastic sports in Grades 5 through 12.
Sununu, a Republican, signed New Hampshire House Bill 1205 on Friday, July 18.
