Vermont Governor Phil Scott has said he wants to take taxpayer money and give it to illegal immigrants.
Scott, a Republican running for a third two-year term in November, reportedly wants to set aside $2 million for stimulus payments for residents of Vermont who were not eligible to receive $1,200 from the federal government as a coronavirus stimulus check in the spring — because of their immigration status, as VTDigger reports. Scott's proposal would give $1,200 for adults and $500 for each child.
