John Mejia, a staff member at the University of Vermont, subsisted on only water from Friday, February 16 through Thursday, February 22 to try to get a Black Lives Matter flown permanently on campus and to get increased funding and endorsement for anti-racism events.
A 32-year-old man who lives in Ansonia, Connecticut set his car on fire after his girlfriend asked him to leave the house, police said.
The man used the clothes his girlfriend packed for him to set his 1999 Honda Accord on fire shortly after midnight, according to The Connecticut Post of Bridgeport.
