TV Weatherman Among More Than 60 People To Apply To Be Rhode Island’s Next Lieutenant Governor

In the coming weeks, Rhode Island's current lieutenant governor expects to pick a new lieutenant governor, as state officials anticipate current governor Gina Raimondo will join President Joe Biden's administration as the U.S. Commerce secretary.
On Tuesday, February 9, the state released a list of the more than 60 people who applied for the position. The current lieutenant governor, Dan McKee, who is in line to move up to governor when Raimondo leaves, plans to appoint one of the applicants.
