Trump To Maine Governor Paul LePage: Run for U.S. Senate

Paul LePage, the Republican governor of Maine who leaves office in about a year, this past May ruled out a run for U.S. Senate in 2018 against U.S. Senator Angus King, a liberal independent who caucuses with the Democrats. But President Donald Trump recently went over with advisers a list of potential candidates around the country, and he wants LePage, a Trump supporter, to run in Maine.
