Trump takes Florida, Ohio, NC in battle for White House

WASHINGTON (AP) — Donald Trump captured crucial victories over Hillary Clinton Tuesday night in Florida, Ohio and North Carolina, showing remarkable strength in three of the nation's most fiercely fought battleground states in an unexpectedly tight race for the presidency.

Clinton carried Nevada, Virginia and Colorado, as well as California, the nation's largest prize. With a handful of other states still undecided as the race lurched past midnight, neither candidate had cleared the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the White House.

BOSTON — It's now legal in Massachusetts to be at least one toke over the line.

Voters on Tuesday overwhelmingly backed a ballot question that sought to regulate marijuana in the same way as alcohol, meaning that the Bay State is now the first state on the East Coast to adopt such a measure.
