Trump warns of riots if he’s denied the GOP nomination

WASHINGTON (AP) — Donald Trump warned Wednesday that if Republican Party leaders try to block him from becoming the GOP presidential nominee, "You'd have riots."

Emboldened by yet another round of convincing victories in Florida, North Carolina and Illinois, the New York billionaire refused to participate in the next scheduled GOP debate, leading to its cancellation. Meanwhile, Republican Party leaders spent Wednesday wavering between grudging acceptance and deep denial about the former reality television star's tightening grip on the nomination.

BOSTON – Charter school expansion foes mobilized to announce organized opposition to a ballot question that would lift the cap on the number of the publicly funded institutions in Massachusetts, gathering outside the State House Wednesday to rally support.

The head of the group, Juan Cofield, who is also a regional leader of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, ratcheted up the rhetoric of inequality in his comments at the gathering, likening what he called a "dual-school system" to a form of segregation.
