MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (AP) — Republican Donald Trump on Tuesday bowed out of the final Republican presidential debate before the leadoff Iowa caucuses, saying Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly is "a lightweight."
With 48 hours to go before the faceoff, Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski confirmed Trump's decision Tuesday evening after a press conference in which Trump lashed out at Kelly and said she'd been "toying" with him.
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Two pro-life activists who made undercover videos alleging Planned Parenthood illegally sold fetal tissue to researchers for a profit face criminal charges in Texas from a grand jury that also found no wrongdoing by the abortion provider.
The Houston grand jury, which was empaneled to investigate Planned Parenthood after the Center for Medical Progress released its undercover footage last year, indicted the center's founder and another activist on Monday. The indictment was the first time anyone with the pro-life group has been charged criminally since the videos began surfacing last year.
