Trump and Biden Dominate Connecticut Presidential Primary

President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump dominated the 2024 presidential primary in Connecticut on Tuesday.

Biden had 84.8 percent of the vote with 95 percent of the vote counted, according to The Associated Press. Uncommitted was the next highest vote-getter on the Democratic side, with 11.5 percent of the vote. No Democratic candidate other than Biden even cracked 3 percent support.

Springfield Carjackers Unknowingly Picked Plainclothes Detective’s Car, Police Say

Two Springfield men were arrested after police say they tried to carjack an unmarked police cruiser being driven by a plainclothes detective.

The detective, whom police didn't name, was investigating in the area of Reed Street in Springfield at about 8:15 p.m. Friday, March 29 when "he heard a tapping on his front passenger window and saw a firearm pointed directly at him," Springfield police said in a written statement.
