A male runner won an event at a high school girls' track meet in New Hampshire last week.
Kearsarge Regional (North Sutton, New Hampshire) sophomore Maelle Jacques, a boy who identifies as transgender, won the high jump (5 feet) at a 15-team meet at Dartmouth College on December 17, according to the Concord Monitor.
Maura Healey took to X (formerly Twitter) today to wish Massachusetts a happy Kwanzaa.
"Happy Kwanzaa, Massachusetts! Sending my warmest wishes for a happy holiday and light, love, and unity in the year ahead," Healey wrote on Tuesday, December 26.
