A male transgender runner set a girls' cross country school record at Brookline High School during the 2022-2023 school year.
Junior Chloe Barnes is a biological male who identifies as a transgender girl, as TB Daily News reported in January 2023 and Brookline's student newspaper, The Sag, reported in June 2022. And during the fall 2022 cross-country season, Barnes set a school record on the girls' cross-country team.
U.S. Representative Ayanna Pressley (D-Hyde Park) called for the U.S. Supreme Court to be expanded.
