The body of a 59-year-old woman who worked at a strip club was found in the trunk of a burning red Buick at Hope Cemetery in Worcester the morning of December 12. A 56-year-old man who lives in Northborough was been charged Tuesday, December 19 with setting fire to the car — but, so far, nothing else.

O'Malley, the archbishop of Boston, during a press conference at the archdiocesan chancery in Braintree on Wednesday, the day his predecessor, Cardinal Bernard Law, who led the archdiocese from 1984 to 2002, died in Rome at age 86. Law, who was responsible for covering up and enabling sexual abuse of children by certain priests of the archdiocese, was appointed archpriest of a basilica in Rome in 2004; O'Malley said he doesn't think such an appointment would happen today in similar circumstances.
