Swansea Patriots Fan Who Burned Jersey Won’t Be Watching Super Bowl

Mark Shane of Swansea, Massachusetts hasn't watched a single NFL game on television since he started boycotting the league in September over players kneeling during the national anthem to protest purported police injustice against blacks. He burned a Patriots jersey at his home that month in a protest that drew dozens of people and four citations from the Fire Department (three of which have been dismissed, plus one he is fighting).

Steven Spielberg is supposed to direct the movie, if it is ever made. Apparently, the movie was delayed because Spielberg jumped into making The Post. Now, there is no production schedule for The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara.

If it is produced, the movie will become a ripe opportunity to criticize the Catholic Church. And, depending how the Church responds, the criticism will be deserved, because it was the Church that did the kidnapping.
