Susan Collins, Sara Gideon Neck-and-Neck In Latest Poll

The U.S. Senate race in Maine is close, and could come down to ranked-choice voting, according to a recent poll.
A poll put out by Bangor Daily News showed Maine House Speaker and Democrat Sara Gideon leading incumbent Republican U.S. Senator Susan Collins 44 percent to 43 percent, within the 4.4 percent margin of error. Meanwhile, independents Lisa Savage (2 percent) and Max Linn (1 percent) were a distant third and fourth in the poll.
