Stonehill College will be an NCAA Division 1 school for most sports next year.
The private college in Easton, Massachusetts will join the Division 1 Northeast Athletic Conference (known by the letters NEC) in 25 sports. It's currently a member of the Northeast 10 Conference in most of those sports.
If you're a resident of either Russia or Belarus, you cannot run the Boston Marathon this year.
The Boston Athletic Association made the announcement on Wednesday, April 6. It comes in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and Belarus's support of Russia's invasion.
