Stephen King Donates A Hotel-Full of Cash To Genealogical Society

Horror writer Stephen King and his wife Tabitha are donating $1.25 million to the New England Historic Genealogical Society.

The society, which was founded in 1845, is the nation's oldest and largest organization dedicated to family trees. It is headquartered on Newbury Street in the Back Bay.

Threatening King of Sweden Not Good Career Move for Maine Man

A Maine man who federal authorities say made hundreds of threatening calls to Sweden's embassy to the United States in Washington D.C., during which he threatened to knife the king of Sweden, has been sentenced to two years three months in federal prison.

Eric Malmstrom, 40, of Vinalhaven, Maine, was sentenced Tuesday, February 26, according to the U.S. Attorney's office in Portland, Maine.
