A Republican state representative in New Hampshire is proposing a tax on hybrid and electric vehicles to make up for the revenue the state doesn't get in gasoline taxes because the cars' gas mileage is so high. The Union Leader isn't impressed.

Fitchburg Newspaper Closing Office, But Not Newspaper

The Fitchburg Sentinel & Enterprise, which traces its roots back to 1838, plans to close its office in Fitchburg and let reporters work from home. But it's far from closing the newspaper, a company official said — the paper just hired a new reporter and videographer.
