Someone Smears Veterans Memorials in Springfield With Crabapples; Who’s To Blame According To State Rep?

If you guessed President Donald Trump, you're right. At least three veterans memorials in Springfield, Massachusetts were smeared with crabapples, including one that honors five black veterans who died in Vietnam; state Representative Bud Williams, a Democrat, blames what he calls "the Trump effect."

Potted Tree No Longer Blocking Former Governor’s Portrait in State House

Jeanne Shaheen, a Democrat, served as governor of New Hampshire from 1997 to 2003; she ran against John E. Sununu, a Republican, for U.S. Senate in 2002 and lost; and then she ran again against Sununu in 2008 and won. Former Senator Sununu is the brother of the current governor, Chris Sununu, also a Republican, whose office initially told an aide for Senator Shaheen that the potted tree blocking Shaheen's portrait in the New Hampshire State House had to remain right where it was; now it has been moved.
